Tonight the youth discipleship group (house group) had a great time. We started out with some nice laid back time of just chilling out, snacking it up and having a good old giggle. Sending get well text's to Rob, as a race to show kindness.
We talked about cloven feet, chewing the cud, unclean animals and Noah's mammoth task of building the ark (the boat not the mercy seat), that would end up being a vehicle of salvation for the world!
But the icing on the metaphorical cake was when we somehow ended up talking about Baptism. It was so good to look at the reasons, the public declaration of faith and most importantly before God, the symbolism and the command of Jesus. Discussing the differences in denominations on baptism, confirmation and Christening and the similarities and essence of a loving and whole faith in Jesus.
We ended by praying for the guys and girls regarding baptism, none of have YET been baptised.
Please be praying for these guys as they seek to measure the voice of God and weigh up baptism as an option for the new year.
